FLOCK

(OSLO 2016)

A one-night-only event starring a flock of artists, of artwork, of dishes, of eaters. Featuring a herd of rolling modeling stands decked in white napkins and fastened at or above eye level, the flock showcased small structures built or bought to present food. Participants were invited to take a fork and dig in, to physically experience the joy of the joke - to literally consume and digest art. These ‘dishes’ represented our personal interpretation and synesthetic translation of the œvres of various artists; slabs of raw meat impaled on a serpentine double hook (Marina Abramovic), cotton candy suspended on a collapsing frame (William Turner), jello shots (Damien Hirst) and preserved cherries covered in popping candy sliding off a string (Laure Prouvost), anti-still lives acted as conversation starters between visitors.
